Lovely hotel with stunning surrounds

Fantastic location with magnificent views across the valley. Lovely well kept mid century modern hotel. Although we don't usually enjoy large hotel buffets, both the breakfast and the dinner buffets were exceptional with a wide range of dishes for all palates and diets. We would have liked to have stayed here a couple of days longer.

The rooms were a little on the small size and the balcony from our room had a restricted view due to the solid balustrade.

Beautiful area, stunning views, excellent food and friendly staff.

The surrounding scenery was stunning. We were photographing birds so it was particularly good with vultures flying overhead. The buffet in the evening was excellent as was the breakfast. We would like to return and would recommend it to anyone with a love of nature and stunning scenery.

Very good hotel. Would be excellent if balcony had sun and view.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Also had gluten-free options. Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi. Wonderful hiking in the Sierra de Grazalema but need a car to access hike start points.

No view from balcony or sun on balcony as blocked by trees. This seems to apply to most rooms. No tea/coffee-making facilities in room even though Booking.ccom said there would be. Hotel said this only applied to more expensive rooms (but they provided a kettle and cups as a gesture of good will and said they wouldn't charge for this). Need a car as 5km from nearest village (Grazalema).

Be careful when you stay. Check who’s likely to be there!

We loved the tranquil location, unbeatable views and excellent and lots of wide, free parking. We loved the helpful and friendly staff. Dog friendly hotel with beautiful grounds to walk around. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and of great quality. Lots of choice at the buffet dinner for a reasonable cost.

Although the dinner was reasonably priced, we were unaware that there was no “a la carte restaurant” and on our first night, the buffet style restaurant (the only restaurant), was absolutely packed with very young children and parents. It was not a good ambience for couples who were looking for a relaxed meal after a long drive to a supposed restful location in the mountains. The noise was earth shattering, with screaming children running loose and causing havoc. I wish we’d been told in advance so that we could have opted for the bar menu (we didn’t know it was possible to eat in the bar). It completely ruined our dinner. The second night was a much more civilised dining experience. Although still only a buffet, but much nicer as the “kindergarten” clientele had all gone. We think it isn’t unreasonable to expect a pleasant meal experience in a good class of hotel such as this one clearly is, and I would think twice before returning purely for that reason. Maybe it’s best to check for such things before going, but seeing as we normally book way in advance, it might not matter. My suggestion is that such a party of guests should be given a different time slot to others. It would ease the pressure on the staff and certainly make adult guests feel more relaxed.

Beyond perfect for relaxing, exploring and amazing cozy place.

Outstanding. Everything was perfect and we don’t want to leave. This is the first time we have stayed somewhere , where we won’t leave till we give a review.

Lack of signs on the routes on foot to Grazalema from the hotel.

A lovely peaceful scenic location with thought given to the room being close to lift.

Breakfast and location very good. Parking excellent. All meals very good.

A walk in shower with a better soap dispenser. We should have avoided the weekend Saturday was too busy and noisy for us oldies!a

Pretty spot

Great location overlooking the valley and Grazalema. Very good breakfast with many options. Bed was very comfortable.

The hot tub was not very hot. Metal doorstop in the middle of the bathroom floor in a place that makes it very easy to stub your toe.

Exceptional location. Friendly staff. Very well run hotel.

The service from Booking .com. We were told we would pay at the property. Then we were told we must pay in advance. We thought this might be a scam and I had to contact reception at the hotel by email to sort everything out. They could not have been more helpful and I will book direct next time. .
